Are children required to go to Pre-K?

we have been working with him at home. He already can count to 15, knows his alphabet, shapes, colors and can write his first name.

I think they should go to pre-kindergarten for preparation.

I guess yes because socializing skills can't be learned at home unless you have a lot of play dates and a big family.

No. Children are not required to attend Pre-K. Working on the skills for kindergarten readiness at home is great preparation for school

No they aren't required to go to prek. They can go to kindergarten once they are age of 5

My kids did not and I have a 5 and 6 year old. I live the in Texas and kids were most all in different areas of what they were doing. They still are and it's the end of the year
